why blog?

Alright - it took 6 months of repeating my stories to convince me that bloging was a good idea. but hey, in the words of David K. "all the kids are doing it".

What's the deal? Well I took a job in Saudi Arabia teaching graphic design and animation at a private woman’s college and although it seemed like a fairly normal decision to me... at the time, It does seem to generate a great deal of interest. So rather than annoying people by sending out detailed newsletters of the old school Christmas variety my mom used to complain about, I'm going to post my random observations, stories and comments to this blog.

Vegi Patch is a tribute to my daughter the glumvegi to my glumnmum. Questions? post 'em. who knows I might answer.
